I remember watching this on television. May he rest in peace. He earned it.
I get the impression the world stopped to watch — it must have been amazing.
It was amazing, indeed. Imagine, an entire planet stopped everything to watch two men, whose faces you couldn’t even see, step off onto the moon. How many times has a whole planet wished for the same thing at once? This is one of the few things that it is okay to be in awe of forever.
It certainly is.
I agree with foxpudding. While there are countless words which could describe that moment, ‘awe’ says it all.
