Love your site, Vickie. Where, oh where, do you get these photos? Even the Margaret Herrick library doesn’t have a photo archive like yours (okay, I exaggerate). You really capture the elegance of “old” Hollywood.

    Best wishes!

Isn’t “What’s New Pussycat?” The reason Woody Allen has complete control over his films? I remember seeing it at the old Fox Theater in Riverside! Whow oh whow oh whoooow oh.!

Whow oh whoh – good? Or whow oh whow – bad? I think Woody Allen wrote “What’s New Pussycat” but somebody else directed it… The first movie he directed was “Take the Money and Run”… Must head over to

Whats New Pussycat was one of the first films I ever saw Peter Sellers in.I remember he played the part of a demented and obsessed psychoanalyst{how Woody Allan is that?}Not the place for a potted history of psychoanalysis, but the movements spawned some strange people{or attracted them} and some strange breakaways.I am thinking of Wilhelm Reich here who tried to shoot down flying saucers with so called orgone energy.Did he believe he projected the energy through a length of drainpipe pointed at the sky?I hope so -that would be perfect. He was also rather careless with radioactive materials, but thats another story.

This is going off on a tangent, but I wonder if Stanley Kubrick and Terry Southern were thinking of Wilhelm Reich when they wrote the part of Jack D. Ripper?
