Alfred Hitchcock, Ingrid Bergman, and Cary Grant on the patio set of Alicia’s apartment in Rio:

    • When I was a little girl I got to go backstage and meet her once when she was performing in London and you are absolutely right — very charming!! I thought she was the nicest lady in the world.

      • You were very lucky. I am contended to see the lovely photos of her. Last week I watched a film named Autumn Sonata (1978), she performed a role as a mother, but she was still very charming.

      • I remember that movie — very powerful. About a concert pianist trying to establish contact with the daughters she’s neglected? One of those brooding Bergman films with beautiful images by Sven Nykvist. Sounds like perfect viewing for this time of year 😉
