What a great picture! I love it.
I think it must be a break from a tableau… I think they still have these “Tableau Vivant” in Laguna every summer at the Pageant of the Master where volunteers strike poses in costume and makeup – of famous paintings…
Wow. It certainly has a vintage look – even their faces seem from that period.
I remember those living paintings in Laguna Beach. I think they take place at the end of summer don’t they?
And the Ramona Pagent takes place in the spring in Hemet
End of April or beginning of May… Have you been? I know the book (published in 1884) it was based on was supposed to have spurred a wave of tourism to Southern California, tourists that turned into residents…
Yes I went when I was 16! I loved it ! There was a 1930’s film made with Loretta Young and Don Ameche. In technicolor too!
