Here I am, lurking with my computer which doubles as a camera with (what my dad would have called) a saucer-eyed expression. Okay, cut me some slack, I have sent the book flying through the Interwebs. Thank you, my friends. When I hear news, you’ll hear news…

Best of luck with your book. Sorry I haven’t been following closely. Have you provided details as to what it is about?

Thank you, Mr. Morgnanesi — I haven’t – although I was talking to the artist who is doing the book design last week and he dubbed it – Noir but not quite – and then he said, “You know. Sunny Noir” – I’m going with that, a new genre inspired by Southern California. It’s a sardonic, romantic, slightly mysterious look at Hollywood. I’ll keep you posted!

I like “Sunny Noir!” That’s so IT! Perfect.
I can’t wait! I love mysterious Hollywood.
Thank you! And it sure is mysterious sometimes, even to me 😉
Fabulous News!
Oh, but “cut you some slack”, for what? Mr Kaplan thinks you look heart-stoppingly gorgeous in that picture, Ms Lester… Those *eyes*… Maybe that should be your “Author” photograph?!
🙂 (whistles, walks away)
Mr. Kaplan, you are too kind. And I return a kiss for your whistle 🙂
🙂
CongratulayTIONS! Sunny noir. perfect.
Merci beaucoup, Elyse!
Beaming you good vibes. I like the description – consider that Sonny Noir would be a good name for a blues musician on Prairie Home Companion. Ahem, I digress. Sorry. I’ll hoist a root beer in your honor.
Put a scoop of vanilla ice cream in that and I’ll join you.
So happy for you. I know, at least in the press, that there is no better day when the deadline has been confidently met so for your project…*sending a wolf whistle!*
And a full cry thanks!
Dearest V
“Sunny Noir” it is… caloo callay what a splendid day.
The Dandy does so hope you have been celebrating.
Congratulations and god bless you and all who sail in you!!
Yours ever
The Perfumed Dandy
Ah that, well, as I said to Miss Lisa, my house is very clean! Thank you for the blessing, I can feel your gentle wind coming my way.
I know it reached its destination with a big splash!
Here’s to a happy and thrilling read for those in possession of your work, your baby. 😉
Cheers, my Vickie!!

The manuscript was received and as soon as I got confirmation I went into hyper-drive – what can I say, the energy had to go somewhere and now my house is immaculate. xoxox, V
hahaha!
PS – Could you please stop looking so cute? You’re making me feel bad. 😉
Please note where I’m holding the lens – way up north to tidy up that jawline 😉 It’s all in the angles and a nice fill light…
I am on pins and needles!!! Can I help cast it when it becomes a film?
You bet!!!
PS …you look so pretty!!
xox, Lanier!
hurrah!!
your hair looks very sleek.
as it should when one has Sent Off A Manuscript!
Baby, my hair has been ironed into glossiness. And, if I had done it myself it would have turned out to be a scorched and frazzled two inches long 😉
divine!
some things are best left to professionals.
we have scorched before.
Pleased to hear you finally pushed the button, good luck with your ‘Sunny Noir’, I am very much looking forward to seeing it in all its glory. 😀
Me too — I’m in a state of anticipation because very soon I’ll see the roughs of the jacket design…
Thank you, and I owe you a visit in Australia via WP, lovely that I can do it with the click of a button!
If only it was so easy to visit all of these far flung places for real! 🙂
Ms. V, it has been too long! And look at what I’ve missed while I was away! Congrats on the book! Can’t wait to read it! Now, if I could just finish mine 🙂

Ms. M, I can’t wait for you to finish it either – because I want to read it! 🙂
