I do not wish to be a bubble breaker yet again…but as someone who has worked a bit with the French press…well…the offices no longer look quite like the first photo. I apologize on behalf of the French Republic.
How lucky that one may take inspiration from this handsome decor without a boundless budget… The designs aren’t fussy but instead emphasize light, line and refreshing textures.
The images are stunningly un-dated, the second in particular. Seeing these, and having recently watched Luhrman’s Gatsby, I wonder what this aesthetic reveals of our modern personality…
Just where do you find those? At least press offices in Germany look like cubicle hell… minus the cubicles, so a very loud hell. Luckily I’ve worked in a more pleasent ambience…
Now the recent Smith College speach by Arianna Huffington – the one about wisdom and proper sleep – now makes me wonder what the Huffington offices and nap rooms look like…
Vickie, just me writing too fast yet again, but a correction. Its Eltham Palace.Hope you enjoy following up the hint as well beautycalyptique.I have not actually ever visited it despite the fact that I once lived in London. However the pictures are impressive.
they clearly don’t have a Tidying Up Policy for stray wiring (see pix) but we’re dying to know how on earth the person-who-wears-tiger-print gets on with their neighbo(u)r who wears Burberry π
they need aggregation monkey trainees to sit somewhere! π
no, seriously: they have offices. just crowded and not pretty. all journalistic glamour is long gone, lost in budget wars, fighting for survival, yellowness and fear of The Internet.

The dawn of deco :Stunning! Oh, the light too!
Heather, thou spoilsport! Don’t worry we won’t hold that against you, things change over the decades π
There is no doubt about it Deco was a style of elegance.I think this explains it continuing appeal.

we adore an anglepoise and a chinese lacquered screen.

Do they have offices? I thought they were primarily aggregators…

I took a peek at the link TeamGloria sent – it has the mess and casual look of a school room.
Look at that gorgeous staircase (stairwell?). One must wear lamΓ¨ when descending these stairs, n’est-ce pas?
π But, of course!
Lovely photos.
