This has always been my favourite photo of Carmen. Love it!
As the Dandy mentioned, no hat!… And, what a face!
She certainly had a beautiful face minus all of the overt make-up and fruit hats. I’ve always liked her, not least of all because we are height mates. Us shorties have to stick together. 🙂
I too am very fond of platform shoes 😉
What a beauty she was, one forgets, diverted by the hats I suppose.
The Perfumed Dandy
Five feet tall, six to eight inch platform shoes, and a head dress that often reached to the sky – that’s how we go from mite to monumental 😉
Too true. Little Miss Dynamite was she.
The Perfumed Dandy
Do you ever wonder what these stars from the past would look like with 2013 make-up and hair? Hmm…
Here’s my personal theory — false eyelashes applied by a makeup artist (not the ones I saw my sister glue on in the sixties) catapult the average looker into the stratosphere of pure glamour. That’s my theory and I’m stickin’ to it. 😉
I like this theory. It all boils down to some great false eyelashes. I buy that. 🙂
Ms. Life! Are you back from your journey East?
Holy cow, she was gorgeous and I had no idea! Those eyes!!!! Yowza. You could light a fire with those sparks.
Kind of reminds me of Berenice Bejo in “The Artist”, non?
Say! Now that you mention it, very much so.
