Directed by Frank Capra. Starring James Stewart, Jean Arthur, Claude Rains, and Edward Arnold. Columbia Pictures, 1939.
This movie should be shown in schools, starting in sixth grade… This one and what’s the one with Broderick Crawford and William Holden who’s tutoring the blonde who seriously ‘gets it’ and is finally able to define for herself and the audience what this country is all about. Can’t think of the title, must go look. Born Yesterday, with Judy Holliday! I love that one, too.
Great movie! Speaking of which a great friend is going to drive me to the polls because even though it’s about four blocks away this flu has left me with about as much energy as is needed to stir a teacup.
You poor thing, hope you are feeling better soon . . . (Happy voting!)
You are darling! And, I think having been through hell and high water, Ms. Patti, you get the kudos for voting today 😉
Get well Vickie …. We can’t finish the picture without you and the front office is yelling that we are behind schedule !!!
I voted – and now I’m hiding in my dressing room drinking hot cider – tell the front office I’d need five hours in makeup to make me camera ready.
The front office called. They are sending over the Westmores and all the Max Factor brothers….they are going to give you the Dietrich eye brow and the Crawford lip.
