Let me explain why this is a good thing. My beloved, pictured above on a movie set a few years ago, has recently returned from two dreary months on location. He was housed, along with some very big stars in a hotel that shared a parking lot with Walmart. The preferred restaurant in town was called, The Cracker Barrel, and was decorated with a prodigious collection of snow globes… During our sporadic and brief phone calls he would relate stories that would make me exclaim, “Just come home!” The last phone call was accompanied by sneezing and coughing, as he had been caught (along with everybody on the crew) in a torrential downpour, unaware of its approach. He returned two days later. May I say that as his plane was touching down at LAX the phrase that kept repeating, over and over, in my mind was: by this time tomorrow I will have a cold. If you don’t see me around for the next couple of days just know that my fondest wish has come true. Ciao and gesundheit 😉 .
