Whew. She is totally the boss of that kiss. Right? He looks a little frightened to my eyes in that first shot.

My dear Miss V, I have been saving up your chapters to read in one fell swoop! I know, I am silly like that but I like to keep things for a rainy day. πŸ˜‰
    Bisous to you,

I don’t see much chemistry there, not like Garbo and Gilbert. Which is interesting because in the Rosalind Russell memoir she said something like, and I’m paraphrasing, “On camera kissing was an ordeal, but when Clark Gable got hold of a girl, you knew exactly where you wereβ€”and needed to be.”

Save those chapters! I think I’ll publish them straight up to Christmas Eve…

I always do a double-take when I see Clark Gable without his moustache. I think I prefer him without.
