This is another one (like The Women) that I never tire of watching, and that I see differently every time… My most recent observation, Tracy and Dexter had the camaraderie, but Tracy and Macauley, after that party… Baby, they had HEAT.

If she fell into the cleft of that chin they would have to send out a search party.
You two piqued my curiosity, a cleft chin is most common in people of German and Polish origin. The dimple, or cleft is a result of a slight dent in the formation of the jaw, where it hasn’t fused completely. I never knew that!

Annoyingly, I read someone this morning dismissing Katherine’s looks as ‘angular and unusual’ her acting style as ‘archaic’ (ludicrous given that she’s been dead by the time the awful piece had been written.

The Perfumed Dandy
It occurs to me that during a certain era of filmmaking everyone was a Meryl Streep. And it had a lot to do with the Studio System, for all its faults, and all its washouts, there was a lot of training that went on… As to archaic, hm, isn’t acting about communicating with an audience? I would make a comparison to our current crop of Movie Stars, but it’s the holidays and I better start behaving myself…
