An Aid to Concentration | Read, Seen, Heard.
I want to highlight this fabulous gentleman (not the guy pictured above) and one of my favorite sites — visual puns, beauty, history — he’s got it all.
Kihm Winship lives, works, walks and writes in Skaneateles, N.Y. An unfocused generalist, his passions include tea, incense, bells, illustration, polo, cheese, chess, sumo, the post office, and postcards that relate to any of them. A copywriter for the past 32 years, he is also published in newspapers and magazines, including All About Beer, Log Home Living and Urban Dog. He is the author of Skaneateles: The Character and Characters of a Lakeside Village, as well as The Adirondack Run, a graphic novel with illustrator Scott Ouderkirk (pictured above on the left, Kihm on the right, in a photo by Susan Burch), and a novel, Having a Wonderful Time, available on Kindle. You can find his writing and links to all his blogs at faithfulreaders.com.
I want one of those helmets. Just 15 minutes ago, I was interrupted while writing very technical informaton I do not understand for the fourth time by a subordinate … to let me know about a scheduling issue weeks from now. I could either put my head in it or hit him with it. Please send it FedEx.
If you’re anywhere in the “Polar Vortex” I’ll send the one with the fleece lining 😉 .
Perfect. Baby it’s cold outside!
Brrrrrr, I (of the horrible hot flashes) get cross when it dips below 60! Stay bundled up, Elyse!
I want to call myself an unfocused generalist. It’s good to know there is a name.
Isn’t Kihm wonderful? Love his wit!
I want one. Maybe by wearing it my co-workers will leave me in peace.
It disturbingly reminds me a Nine Inch Nails video…
