I think she was kind of a sparkling personality, it showed in her films, she was loved by everyone who worked with her—I was going to make an unkind comparison to some stony faced young actresses of our era, but I’ll stop right here!
It was sad how she died. So young. One afternoon I decided to look up all of my favorite classic film actresses, and so many of them had sad lives and/or awful deaths (Rita Hayworth, Gloria Grahame, Gene Tierney, to name a few) … just proves what good actresses they really were.
