In her autobiography, Detour: a Hollywood Tragedy – My Life With Lana Turner, Crane admitted to the stabbing. She further alleged sexual assaults at the hands of her mother’s fourth husband, actor Lex Barker. Cheryl’s life has been up and down, but she has never reversed her position and blamed her mother for the stabbing of that vile Stompanato. Much conjecture can abound about why, but she has never retracted her guilt over the stabbing.

Just watched the trailer… the movie looks a bit campy (THE EARTHQUAKE!!!) but what a great cast! I love Lana Turner, Donna Reed, and Dame May Whitty.
