God, I love Julie Andrews!
Do you know what I remember most about Camelot? The LP! And the great album cover… I bet you do too!
That was a splendid LP and cover!
She seems more at ease than he does. He looks like he’s looking for someone else 🙂
I was trying to figure out the photo… Backstage? Still traces of makeup on their faces?
I’ve never understood the Richard Burton craze. I like his acting, but I just don’t find him as hunky as some women do. That’s a hysterical quote from Ms. Andrews! Ha! She obviously had a firm grip on the backward magic of Hollywood… the worse your reputation, the more publicity you get.
When Hollywood employed an army of press agents the quotes from movie stars were a damn sight pithier 😉 …
Reblogged this on Carleigh-Hepburn and commented:
Oh Richard, you dawg, you. Julie is a gem <3
The photo was taken backstage on the opening night of Camelot. (I read that and saw the photo in her autobiography).
Burton was not only supremely gifted as an actor, but he also had genuine charisma. Julie is priceless, a gem, and I appreciate her even more now than I did growing up.
Love her, absolute perfection!
