feathers-on-the-lipstick
that’s all we recall from combining the two 😉
Oh! One never thinks of those things…
that’s why the make-up artists are Always On Hand.
Your best friend and confidante on set!
hahaha 😀 you totally stole one half of my comment-to-be (other half being my usual fun-free, cruelty-free-blabla, strange coming from a russian who grew up on caviar and wore a fur even as a baby, but I’ve come to my senses eventually)
Beautycalyptique! Back it up, “strange coming from a Russian who grew up on caviar and wore a fur even as a baby” — what?!? That is a story I would LOVE to hear, perhaps a future post on your web log?
gaaaah!
it’s not a very thrilling story, really. we are a nation that holds to their furs and other decadent excesses like the french to their foie gras, nothing to be proud of in 2013 😀
maybe in one of upcoming interviews 😉 will keep this in the back of my mind
Please, do — this is fascinating stuff!
speaking of eyebrows:
mine are like, “the only way is up”. but seriously, I’m making a series of vids for my hall of fame ladies only, maybe I can sneak in some of my exotic past into those 😀
(and I am totally adding you to that club)
*giggling* in west hollywood.
well it’s true.
an odd combination – feathers/lipstick (and we remember fur too – such strange days)
quite patrick-bateman-y, wasn’t they?
😉
Caribou? Oh, *marabou*. Oops, never mind!
Seriously, those images: g-g-golly! I like!
I could swear it’s the same jacket plucked out of wardrobe — but, saying that I know there were MULTIPLES.
Dearest V
Many ostriches were harmed in the making of those shots… well they were not plucked in vain is all I can say!
Yours ever
The Perfumed Dandy
It does look kind of floaty and fabulous 🙂
both ladies are the ultimate proof that you get the face you earn.
we can all look drop-dead-glamourous; we can all look like yet another bird. #badfeatherpun
You’ve got me started noticing eyebrows, and Carole Lombard’s are beautiful — I know Harlow’s were the style of the time, but they’re very severe.
eyebrows can change a face completely!
and yes, severe is the right word. aliens come to the mind, too.
I was drinking coffee, and I have to say, laughing out loud at your comment — yes, I think you’ve nailed Harlow’s otherworldly allure!
😉
Have you noticed the carved hand on the headboard?
That is fabulous, I didn’t see it — oh, wouldn’t that headboard be a find?
Marabou pyjamas or sleeping in the same bed with cats…. either way you wake up with stuff stuck in your eyelashes! Meow.
P.S. I need that telephone.
