When Conan O’Brien was hosting clips from “The Tonight Show” on TCM, he included an interview Carson did with Gregory Peck. Peck told the story of meeting Veronique for a first date. When he later phoned her, he started with, “I’m not sure if you remember me.” Such a charming story!
