Let Vickie Lester sweep you away on a Hollywood magic carpet ride. Her heroine Anne, an up and coming screenwriter finds her soulmate and quickly things turn for the worst. This novel takes us places we’ve never been before. A strong character by a strong writer who deeply loves her subject.

 A bold, sometimes raw novel capturing an insight to Hollywood’s sometimes broken system. If this is a fiction debut it’s wonderfully imagined with smart, natural dialogue. How lucky we will be when another Lester book hits the shelves.

*speechless*

    That’s fabulous! Apparently, Hollywood has a heart — or some of it does, anyway!

      Generally kept in refrigerated boxes and brought out on special occasions as a curiosity; unlike a conscience which hasn’t been seen in the area for over 100 years 🙂

        I live in DC so I see how that happens. Turning the other cheek, perhaps. Others might call it “mooning.”

        Oh, there’s plenty below the line, it’s above the line that it seems to float away like helium 😉 .

        Have you gotten I Look Divine? It was the first real gift I received from the ‘wonderful people’.

        It should arrive Tuesday from the mighty Amazon. And now I need to know who the ‘wonderful people’ are.

      Kind hearts, indeed! And brave too, by the looks of the footage he shoots 😉 .

        Certainly that picture! I will have to investigate further.

    *Applause* What an excellent review, and so well-deserved. Oh, and that photograph of Mme Writer? Adorable!
    @pinkagendist: Bwahahahaha! It’s funny because it’s true!

      Over the moon! And I keep seeing rows and rows of Valentine’s hearts (in my mind’s eye) fluttering happily in the kitchen fridge.

      Ummm, is this a free for all? How many of us who know how to use Mme are allowed here? Last I heard, I’m the homoprotagonist of every story 😛 settle down, and carry your spear nicely in the background, where you won’t interfere with my lighting!

        Do you know, once I had a meeting with a Mme Exécutif of a certain age and the walls of her office were a pearly rose color and the light bulbs in the lamps (I swear!) were pink. I’m going to try it out. Luv, Tante Vickie

    @pinkagendist: Well, M’sieu Pink, I might consider it but you’d have to ask me nicely… 😉 It’s odd, one or the other of us must be deluded, as I was under the impression that I was allowing *you* the use of my key light out of the (perhaps non-existent) goodness of my heart… Now back to the chorus with ya, Hubert!

    Way to go V!! Looks like he was on “Mr. And Mrs. Smith” too… one of my faves!
