Amazing! I think this is what DWELL magazine tries to duplicate.

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! I mean, just *look* at it… Does it still exist, and if it does, is it still in the same form? As you can tell I’m enthusiastic about it. I’m unfortunately as far from an expert or afficianado but… I know what I like and I know what works!
Fabulous picture!
What puzzles me about this sort of decor is the stark lack of personal items. I know this is an advertisement or magazine layout, but still – it looks as sterile as a doctor’s office waiting room to me. Nothing that indicates that people actually LIVE there, you know? All those bare open spaces and hard corners. Doesn’t say “relax and enjoy” to me. You either have to lay flat or sit straight up on all the seating visible – you can’t lean back. And after a few cocktails, who’s sitting up straight any more? 😎

I could live here quite comfortably, I think. I would have the BBQ going all the time, with steaks and cocktails every night.
It certainly was the era of steak and cocktails – so, I’m wondering how they stayed so sleek!
