Had the great fortune to tour Mark Twain’s house in Hartford yesterday and stood in his favorite room at the top of the house, light filled and airy, which contained a billiards table and a desk and a small table shoved into a corner where he composed; The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, The Prince and the Pauper, Life on the Mississippi, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court.
“To us, our house…had a heart, and a soul, and eyes to see us with…”
Mark Twain, a.k.a., Samuel L. Clemens
What a gorgeous Home! I love it and love that you went to pay homage too…
