Such a piece of art, I love those dresses too. There’s a picture of Joan Blondell posing apparently naked with her legs straddling a chair that predates the famous Christine Keeler portrait by three decades. I’m guessing it was pre-code because it was *very* “suggestive” as they used to say and she looked positively va-va-voomish! Almost like Jean Harlow in Red Dust who was so free and fun and glowing with capital “S” Sex. Um, in my opinion – not that I notice such things, you understand – I’m a monk…pure.
