Why I love the bathroom…

Love this woman!
Have you read the Victoria Wilson book, A Life of Barbara Stanwyck: Steel-True 1907-1940? By the looks of it, it could take you straight through summer 😉 .
I’ve certainly heard it, and if you recommend the bio I’m going to give it a go. Thanks, Vickie 🙂
Love her in “Double Indemnity” and “The Strange Love of Martha Ivers”, and – of course – “Christmas in Connecticut”!
You should see the pre-code “Night Nurse”, she saves the day, and Clark Gable plays a loathsome villain!
She was a powerhouse performer, and apparently, a pretty shy woman.
Harsh but true!
It’s a great line, it almost sounds like it’s from a Billy Wilder movie.
Oh, Vickie Lester, how your blog beguiles me with its wit and glamour and pathos. Thank you.
