What’s that on Ms. Stanwyck’s sling? The photo looks to have been taken during the 1940s — and judging from the hairstyle — while WWII was going on.

If you’re squinting I will ease your eyes, it’s the Peamble to the Constitution of the United States of America.

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

If I do anything political tonight, it won’t be listening to a degenerate huckster play nice for the camera, while a bunch of complicit jackasses conspire to subvert the laws they were put in office to defend. I am trying to focus on what is good about the land I love, so I will read FDR’S First Inaugural Address,

in the inspiring treasure of the National Archive.
