Tales from Tinseltown…recording them now…I'll let you know when it's story time.
Contrary to the instructions of Edith Head, I predict a lot of gowns at The Oscars on Sunday will look like this…
Tell me, don’t you think there’s a difference between calling someone a Dragon Lady or a bitch?

Da*n! And he deserved it! Whoooeee. I don’t think that anyone ever understood Marylin’s body so well…let alone Mr. Lemmon and Mr. Curtis. 🙂
He understood the sensual curve, that’s for damn sure! There’s a famous gown he did for Baby Face that’s severe and covered all the way up to Barbara Stanwyck’s chin, and her back is COMPLETELY bare.
Okay this is just between us…someone you know and I don’t mean me. (I only do brunettes) copied the white “I Want To Be Loved By You” dress and stole for Halloween about 20 years ago. (it took three months to make including a body suit that created the perfect Marilyn look) That someone stopped traffic on Market Street that long ago Halloween night, got mobbed by hundreds fans on Castro Street and got a squad car spotlight as her very own a follow spot and wolf whistles from the cops in the car. It was a magical night.
Sharp inhalation of breath… Could it be someone I met??? And dined with, and walked and talked with???
You are magic!
Yes it could very well be just such a person.
Lanier, I do love that story…gave me shivers…
And heavens to Betsy dis he deserve it!
The Perfumed Dandy
And he earned it!
An amazing career, he started by specializing in gowns in the early thirties and in the mid-forties he moved to designing the whole deal.
Orry-Kelly: Jolly-Genius! Golly, that bare back look you mentioned – whoa, mama!
It was a repeated motif in his designs… Very cool!
