Easter chick? Only in Hollywood…

I am capable of projecting myself into my little inner cinema… I free myself through a secret exit from the attempts to encircle my soul.”

Salvador Dali

It’s Dali; making it a statement that rings deeply true and is utterly baffling.

Maybe on this day Emily Dickenson’s thoughts would be more appropriate:

Hope is the thing with feathers

Emily Dickinson, 18301886

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I’ve heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.

  1. “Hope is the thing with feathers” was part of the Haggadah we used for last night’s Seder! Niece and Nephew “dug into the family archives” for a version less juvenile than one we’ve been using for the past few years! And this morning we’re eating hot cross buns and preppin* for Easter Dinner. Oh, how diverse we can be, when we set our minds to it 😉. Happy Easter!
