In the 1930s and 40s there was an annual event to raise money for Mount Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. Wrigley Field played host to participants, Robert Taylor, Gary Cooper, Groucho Marx, Milton Berle, Clark Gable, Fred Astaire, Boris Karloff, Buster Keaton… The list goes on and on with appearances by Marlene Dietrich, Paulette Goddard, etc.
