Yes Head did the gowns and that white one in her first scene with Monty in the pool room…it was knocked off by everyone and became the number one prom dress of 1951!

She was incendiary, is that the right word? Maybe smokin’ hot is better. I think Edith Head designed her wardrobe in “A Place in the Sun” – beautiful.
