    I appreciate your apology and even though Linus Van Pelt said, “the three things you should never discuss are religion, politics, and the Great Pumpkin,” I published your comments because I feel this is an open forum and I thought your voice should be heard.

    I read Pope Benedict’s 2006 encyclical (quite a long time ago) and what I remember was that it was quite beautiful and a perfect expression of Catholicism.
