Today’s my birthday mon petit fleur – and I have a whole hell of a lot to be happy about. My novel is going to be published (more on that later, as I still don’t quite comprehend what happened), my household is currently full of contentment, and I’m married to a gentleman who has agreed to write a post about this:

It belonged to his uncle, who started his career in film working for the tyrannical genius, Margaret Booth – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Around here we handle this shooting script with reverence, but the stories Mr. Lester tells of his family are anything but.
Stay tuned for one of my favorite stories of old Hollywood, and thanks for reading, you are all the delight of the Internet.
Oh, and this is the last post today, I am feeling indolent, you know – turning thirty for the umpteenth time requires so much energy…
Cheers dears!
Happy Birthday, V. It’s going to be a wonderful year. 🙂
Merci Beaucoup, S.K.!
The wonderful year will be when I can get back to Billie 😉
Lots of love,
V
Bon anniversaire!
Is that the script that actually got shot?
I guess I’ll have to wait to hear. Oh Lawrence of Arabia on ice but with Lara’s Theme – the Dandy just adores it!!
Warmest congratulations on the novel.
Yours ever
The Perfumed Dandy.
It’s the script that was shot, marked by Continuity (in the States we call them Script Supervisors) and then handed over to the editorial dept.
Thank you Dandy – you’re a doll,
V

Thank you! How perfect is that? I learned how to use a stereo dropping the needle on my big brother’s Beatles albums!

Happy Birthday wishes to you Vicki and huge congratulations on the magic words, “novel” and “to be published!” Well done, enjoy your day and thank you for being the constant delight you are!
Ms. Patti,
Next time you and Mr. Kuche are in town let me know and I’ll make you those cream puffs.

Happy birthday sweetie!!
Mr. Lanier,
I’m having a blast.
Much love from a gal who needs to go find out what Chanel #5 smells like – hopefully with you!
V
You don’t know??? Didn’t I tell you? “Palmolive! Your soaking in it!” anyway we will go smell some when I come down. I love it. And I love you too!
Lanier! I forgot–Palmolive… I just can’t get the image of that bright green bottle out of my mind. I would dab some behind my ears but I’m afraid it’s radioactive.
I love you Mister,
V
Love is all around! Love you too.

Happy Birthday!
It was swell, and thank you very much!
Happiest of begetting days, darling!
I hope it was as sublime as you are beautiful.
Love, chartreuse and vintage pearls from Britannia. .
A xxx
Thou art swell, Atreyu!
Funny you should mention pearls, I was looking at a Swiss concocted eye cream today and one of the selling points was that it contained ground pearls – what a waste.
I like yours from Britannia much better.
As a matter of fact I love them,
V
Belated Best Birthday Wishes! I hope you had a simply Wonderful day with many more luminous ones to come and hears hoping you have a delightful St Valentine’s Day, too! Oh, and well done with the tome. 🙂
Thank you, darling George –
It was a wonderful day, made even more wonderful by messages like yours.
I was just looking up St. Valentine’s traditions and traced them back to Chaucer, but for some reason 😉 … I think we’ll have to talk about Cary Grant tomorrow instead.
Glad you had a super day – and now Valentine’s! Sorry for writing “hears” rather than “here’s” I guess my brain is on holiday today…
