The interwebs, like the world which they mirror, can be a vast daunting place. There are a lot of strange things out there as well as very strange people (of which, I may be one) and it can be quite scary. But then you discover places that are purely wonderful, and in those places are a few people that are even *more* wonderful. I and Ms. Vickie Lester would like to take the time today to garland one of those very wonderful people, as we wish an unbelievably Happy and Fulfilling Birthday to the unique Lisa, frequent and beloved commentator at Beguiling Hollywood, creator of the marvelous web log A Gripping Life, and our valued, lively, warm, and witty Friend. May all your wishes come true, Lisa, and the bright and sensational future open up for you!          George Kaplan

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThat was a memorable day to me, for it made great changes in me. But, it is the same with any life. Imagine one selected day struck out of it, and think how different its course would have been. Pause you who read this, and think for the moment of the long chain of iron or gold, of thorns or flowers, that would never have bound you, but for the formation of the first link on one memorable day.        “Great Expectations”, by Charles Dickens

  1. This is such a beautiful birthday tribute. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, George. It means the world to me. “But, it is the same with any life.” I share my birthday celebration with my tender hearted friends, who have used their gifts to lift my spirits and sustain me during recent months. I’m so very grateful and happy that our paths have crossed.

    Cheers to my beautiful friends!!!
    I love you! xoxo

      • Thank you, Vickie. I think my first reply seems to leave you out which was not my intention. The flowers are beautiful, the sentiments sweet and heart felt, the quote couldn’t be better, and of course it applies to you as we’ll. You are the most kind and generous friend, beautiful in every possible way, and I am deeply blessed to have you in my life. 🙂
        All my happy birthday love!!!
        Cheers, Vickie!!!

      • Best Beloved! I am happy to be part of the celebration… Especially if there was cake involved… In lieu of saving me a slice tell me what kind it was :). Blessings every which way, xoxox! V

      • Oh, you would adore this cake. It’s my favorite — Chocolate cake, though you can get it with yellow cake, with mocha buttercream frosting and a thin layer of apricot between the cake and mocha buttercream. It’s really divine. Very rich, and best eaten slowly.

Sending you a virtual slice with a pink rose on top.
        Yum. 😀

I’m glad you like it, Lisa! The wonderful quotation comes courtesy of Our Ms Vickie, both of us wanted to try our best to let our beautiful and fabulous friend Lisa know how appreciated and loved she is! You deserve it, Ms Gripping

That should read “…you deserve it, Ms Gripping! :)” – oh, if only my head was screwed on properly!
    Hugs, Georgius

I love this and that this is from Ms. V and Mr. K together, it is why Beguiling is a salon that I love so dearly.
Lisa, your response was so beyond lovely. Wishing you a very, very Happy Birthday and a wonderful year to come.

    • Heather, it doesn’t surprise me that you’re a friend and follower at Beguiling. Vickie seems to attract the most beautiful hearts to her blog. You’re so right, it is a salon that we all love to frequent. Perfect!
Thank you for the wonderful birthday wishes and thoughtful sweet comment.
