the presumably golden (?) mask looks utterly creepy in b&w.
I don’t know what the proper term is for these little demi-masks but masks in general always look creepy to me, can’t read anybody’s expression.
masks are definitely most creepy. there’s a chap on twitter who posts old halloween photos of kids and grown ups from decades over decades ago, and the costumes are simple, basic but absolutely BLOOD CURLING in their raggedy eerieness.
