Lane always teases me when I start to reminisce about my life in Los Angeles and Riverside. He says, “Yes and you used to ride the streetcar to Santa Monica with Barbara Stanwyck.” (Just between you and me…yes I did ride the streetcar with her. And Lana Turner used to get on at the Hollywood High stop across from the Top Hat Cafe at 6750 Sunset Blvd.)
My favorite place on Hollywood Blvd. was an ice cream parlor where they made the best sundaes, EVER. I think it was called C.C. Brown’s? Next to Grauman’s Chinese…
My God what a lovely face Barbara Stanwyck has.I think my idea of feminine lovliness has been affected for life by too many old movies when younger.

I remember it!!! My favorite place on Hollywood Blvd. was Elizabeth Taylor’s hand and foot prints at Grauman’s. (My hands and feet fit Clark Gable’s!)
That makes perfect sense! You appreciating the aesthetic — and me fixating on food 😉 .
