More unsolicited advice on writing your first novel – STOP
If you sit hunched at your computer all the time you will turn into a quivering mass of protoplasm. Get up, stretch, take a walk… Now, get back to work.
Yay! Good advice if ever there was. Stretching the legs, stretches the heart and brain too. 🙂
PS. I must say that I am deeply, deeply fascinated by these glimpses of a very elegant neighborhood.

I took your advice today and put the computer on top of a chest of drawers, and for a change of pace on top of the piano, and I do feel better. Thank you!
Oh! I’ve been inside—it’s very pretty, but it’s one of those funny urban lots, so there’s the grand approach, but almost NO back garden—a house like that needs a garden!

I have a girlfriend who has a stationary exercise bike, she is ten years older and in way better shape than I am… I say, go for it!

Very good advice, but HOW do I make friends with the folks in the white house (2nd photo)? I really want to see inside.
