Whew. She is totally the boss of that kiss. Right? He looks a little frightened to my eyes in that first shot.
My dear Miss V, I have been saving up your chapters to read in one fell swoop! I know, I am silly like that but I like to keep things for a rainy day. 😉
Bisous to you,
I don’t see much chemistry there, not like Garbo and Gilbert. Which is interesting because in the Rosalind Russell memoir she said something like, and I’m paraphrasing, “On camera kissing was an ordeal, but when Clark Gable got hold of a girl, you knew exactly where you were—and needed to be.”
Save those chapters! I think I’ll publish them straight up to Christmas Eve…
“Whew. She is totally the boss of that kiss. Right? He looks a little frightened to my eyes in that first shot.”
Ha! Perfect evaluation. He really does look a bit trepidatious!
gosh, that’s what I’ve been doing, too! 🙂 #ChristmasRead
Beauty! Have you been bossing kisses again? I think that’s splendid. 😉 !
errr, no… I’ve been saving your pages for a long read, just like heather 😉
Well done, but don’t forget those kisses.
by the way, I thought I cannot _not_ share with you my favourite christmas time classic movie. ready?
it’s “bell, book, and candle”. I love everything about it, story, cast, music, magic, punchlines, set… yes, everything.
I LOVE her apartment and shop, BEFORE she falls in love and it goes all pastel and seashells…
Oh, Pye, Pye, Pyewacket. 😉
YES, YES! the barefoot libertine witch! (and isn’t nicky adooooorable?)
Oh Greta. Has there ever been an actress greater?
The Perfumed Dandy
She was fascinating!
I always do a double-take when I see Clark Gable without his moustache. I think I prefer him without.
Oh yes, I like to see someone’s face, not a caterpillar on their upper lip!
there’s something about beautiful people in an extraordinary glamorous pool of key light that is Truly miraculous.
*sighs and admires*
“Stunning!” As my mom would say.
yes, that’s what they are. the expression, the wonderful, elegant faces, the lighting… perfection.
