I love this shot of Clark Gable and Carol Lombard. They look like they’re dancing. The lighting is so pretty! Theadora
It is pretty, and the location appears to be the not so pretty top of a warren of offices on a movie studio backlot — in the hands of a skillful photographer everything transforms into stardust 😉
Oh… It is, it is. Beautiful image. And Isn’t It Romantic?, another song I’m a sucker for (I should’ve been a crooner, but for the fact I can’t really sing!)
Ah the standards, they’re just lovely – I was looking for the Rudy Vallee performance from the Palm Beach Story – but sometimes YouTube fails me 🙁
🙁 Bad youtube… That’s a great version too!
Funny you should mention that – I’m just watching two doves build a nest in the eaves of our house…
That’s one of my favorite old songs, too. Now I’m going to have it in my head all day. 🙂
Yes, Vickie, that image is oh, so romantic. Sigh… Thanks for that.
By the way, I’m half way through and loving every bit of it. Vickie, it’s brilliant. I’ll email tomorrow.
And, I can picture where you’re reading 😉
Oh, what a glorious photograph.
I know I’m reading into it, but… Hey speaking of love, and writing and moving, are you settled in your new place yet?
Something so very natural and lovely about the way their bodies seem to fall in together.
The Perfumed Dandy
I’m sure it’s not the case, because it couldn’t possibly be, but in every picture I’ve seen of them together they just appear so relaxed. It’s lovely.
This photo pulls at your heart. Such beauty in love, no?
That’s why I had to post it, yes. 🙂
we love Everything about this picture.
including the fact that you were clever and elegant enough to display it thus.
It really says something to me…
