Fess up. It’s your fantasy and mine.
You’ve not only finished your book, but it was published. It wasn’t a best seller, but literary types – like us writer/bloggers – read it. Of course you don’t make any money, but writers are supposed to struggle…

And…when I clicked on Elyse’s link to the novel on Amazon, I saw that you could “Look Inside.” Forgive the archaic language, but, HOTDOG! It’s real!
Click on the picture below—and OH yes—sharp-eye my angels, that is a portrait of me not far from Palm Springs about twenty years ago—anyway, CLICK on the picture and take a peek inside the book…and the tiny mind of Vickie Lester.
What a charming and perceptive review by Ms Elyse, and so well-deserved. Kudos!
Oh, and gosh that is a stunning portrait of you, enigmatically lovely Ms Vickie!
I don’t know if it’s done to use a twenty year old photo, but my friend, heidigutman.com
shot the portrait near where some of the novel takes place, so I thought it fitting. And besides,
she’s a GREAT photographer.
Why thank you, Mr. Kaplan!
Congratulations and well done Vickie! Can’t wait to have the paperback between my hands for your tale of murder, mystery and intriguing kiss. Roll out the Review Carpet!
Patti, it’s my premature publication. Three weeks early by the ineptitude of my own fingertips. But now that it’s happened and the shock has worn off… I kinda like it! Can’t wait to hear what you think and please shoot me an email with your address so I can send you a signed copy. xox, V
Your fingertips hit Publish instead of Preview??? Maybe they were trying to tell you something! As I said, so excited for you and it has been such a pleasure to see you progress and get it out! Email on the way!
Your book looks wonderful. Congrats! Will you have an ebook version available at a later date?
Thanks for visiting my site. Much appreciated. 🙂
I think the ebook should be up around the 17th of this month. Hey…
“Thomas Lamb once read somewhere that a human sneeze sprayed thousands of germs at one hundred miles per hour up to twelve feet away, the particles lingering in the air for minutes, waiting to be inhaled. If that were the case, he pitied his fellow passengers.”
The Seneca Scourge, by YOU
I’m hooked!
Aw, thank you! I wasn’t expecting that!
Lovely to hear about the ebook. I tend to read most of my books electronically now except those I get from the library. Just so little shelf space left in my home. Sigh.
I’ve bookmarked your novel on Amazon and will check back for the ebook next week. Yay! 🙂
Glad to help out — especially because I didn’t have to wait. I am a very impatient person, my dear. And there’s nothing worse than excerpts from a book that I want to read and have to wait for!
Note to self, always send Elyse a preview copy! xox, V
Blogging buddies who write, rock.
Absolutely. And we need to support each other!
Yes. I have these little ideas from time to time about organising short story competitions, or some sort of crowd funding which would enable writers a month of financial freedom to write….but I am too scatty to do more than dream. And then imagine something like a WordPress bloggers’ Book Award…could be bigger than a Booker Prize…..and so I dream.
Dreams are where we start!
Aww…you are encouraging. 🙂
I think you’re dreaming of the future 😉 .
