Oh, wow! I used to work in one of these. Not in 1939 more like the 90’s. 1990’s. For costume shops for theater, ballet etc. In one shop there was rows and rows of machines, and we worked on costumes for various shows. I loved going into the costume warehouses. Floor to ceiling clothes and stuff. Cool pics as usual.
A friend of mine once went down into the depths of the costume house at Warner Bros. and signed out a dress for me to wear to a wedding – it was kind of thrilling.
This is cool. Would love the story behind it all…any recommendations?
