John Waters wrote a book about hitchhiking across America.
I just love him. And I can’t wait to get my mitts on Carsick.
The video of his conversation with Colbert is dynamite, but I don’t know how to embed clips from Comedy Central so please, click on the link.
I just saw the interview on Colbert, but I didn’t know who he was. As a former hitchhiker, I will read it too!
He did some cult films, and then some mainstream, and now I think a movie (or two) of his is on Broadway… We’ll have to talk after we read it!
I know! I just heard about this book! Must read!
Loved the interview, too! Those two just sparkle!
Can’t wait to read it, imagine having him in a car with you. I wish!
When a friend of mine was in college he made a short film that played the art circuit called “He May be Dead but He’s Elvis.” Bumping into John Waters at a theater he asked him to sign a poster for him, Mr. Waters, the impish and ever witty was delighted to, signing it with a flourish, “See you in Hell!” I don’t why, I just love that story!
