    I don’t think I’ve ever seen a clear photo of Wellman before. He’s gorgeous!

      And magnetic, and a great raconteur. There’s a (I was going to say lovely, but that’s not apt) lively documentary film called Wild Bill, Hollywood Maverick: The Life and Times of William A. Wellman that’s worth tracking down and watching.
