“The Possible we do immediately — The Impossible will take a little longer.” Marlene Dietrich

As you get to be my age, and for those of you who are curious that age is 55, you begin to feel the reach of time. You begin to feel a deep connection to those who have come before, and those who will follow who you have never met, and will never meet in your lifetime. When you see change that elevates the dignity of all, that opens everyone’s eyes to our responsibility for the future, that makes us aware of the honor that must be paid to those who strove to make the world a better place — you have to rejoice — and know #LoveWins.

What I have is a big nerve to mash my photo up with Marlene’s — but damn, this has been a great week in a big-picture kind of way and I’m still feeling celebratory!

Love wins indeed. Is it strange to say I have felt the first sting of passing time on my 13th birthday?

Not strange at all, you were very perceptive, very early. xox, V

Or “too serious”, according to most people 😉

I really like the portraits you share, in particular when somebody like La Marlene points at you 😉

My homage to Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel — and of course La Marlene would be God 😉 .
