    And some actors are incredibly lucky for they are possessed of the all the acting ability of a mollusc.

    Same with musicians. You wouldn’t believe how many great singers and songwriters are waiting tables in Nashville, hoping to be “discovered” at the songwriters’ nights. There are just too many talents and not enough slots “at the top”. I suspect it’s that way with every art, really. The ones you hear about all the time are the lucky ones, but there are scores of talented people who go unsung.
