ART DECO IN MOTION – BUSBY BERKELY

Blah blah blah a book by it’s cover…

This one is fascinating, and I happen to love the cover – Mr. Berkeley (who staged and choreographed “Gold Diggers of 1933”) on the set before the earthquake hit (one of the drawbacks of life in LA). To find out what happened you’ll have to read the book.

Very well said: art deco in motion. I never once thought of it that way. Lovely.

I should have also mentioned surreal – some of his numbers get very wild…

Ah yes the one that gave Long Beach a real tumble…and shook up everyone but W.C. Fields.

I happen to love the cover too. I selected it among hundreds of images. Buzz called the staircase a flowing ribbon and that suits it to a tee.

Thank you for the nice words.

      Thank you, Jeffrey!
Your book was handed to me by a production designer friend – fascinating read.
      Cheers,

This is a new book? An older book? How on earth did this escape my notice?!
