Dearest V
I’m doing these in reverse somewhat foolishly, but my word that ‘cloth of gold’ headress is the best one yet… one could (almost) imagine it on a woman today. In Paris, In Fashion Week.

Vickie, yes Movie Egypt is a fantasy land where the imagination runs free.Must have been quite a fantasy destination at the time as well when only the richer classes would have travelled anywhere near there.
That version was directed by Cecil B. DeMille and he definitely had a “thing” about costumes – I bet there were dissertations written about that 😉 .

Claudette’s lovely feliness seems entirely appropriate to Cleopatra given the Egyptian affinity for cats. Fabulous photos, and what’s next? Vivien! Gosh!
George, yes she is very feline and the Egyptians did indeed have high regard for Bast or Bastet.I like cats too- sometimes.I too look forward to whats next.
Whew. You are spoiling us today, Ms V!
Now, it wouldn’t be dress up with Cleo day if we didn’t include Vivien and Elizabeth, stick around 😉 .
Ok so now I am moving to Movie Egypt.
Movie Egypt is a magical place…

I am doing this in reverse order too, but I love this series.
Claudette, you vamp! 🙂
Is it just me, or is Claudette the most “outer-space/sci-fi” of all the Cleos ?

For me Claudette is the most gorgeous Cleo out of them all, wow 🙂
