“There is a dreadful story that I hate actors. Imagine anyone hating James Stewart…” Alfred Hitchcock

James Stewart, Grace Kelly, and Alfred Hitchcock on the set of REAR WINDOW, 1954Annex - Stewart, James (Rear Window)_NRFPT_09

  1. Heather in Arles

I say about my Mom that anyone who dislikes her is someone that I can’t trust as she is such a wonderful person. I do believe the same can be said about the legacy of Mr. Stewart…

      • Heather in Arles

I agree with that as well and he never strained credubility no matter what the role…So different than our outer transformers of the 70s/80s like Mr DeNiro and Ms Streep and yet how much more challenging to completey shift the inner terrain!

      • That’s it! Actors of the Classic Movie Era were masters of the inner terrain…

If you can (while you’re here) try to catch The Normal Heart on HBO. Last act, I couldn’t stop crying. Perhaps the most wonderful performance of Mark Ruffalo’s life.
